Kennedy Bay retains a retro charm that harks back to the 1960s and 70s. The old kiwi baches and caravans still dominate the landscape in a very small seaside community. The nearest shops are 12 kilometres away in Coromandel town. The challenging drive to town weaves up and down through the Coromandel forest on winding part gravel and tar seal road.
