yesterday a pod of adult and baby orca whales were hunting stingray along the Tamaki Drive waterfront. They were throwing the stingray into the air to eat. It looked as if the 2 adults were teaching the juvenile orcas how to hunt. They had come in to about 5-10 metres of the shoreline. It was an amazing sight. I could kick myself for not having the camera with me. Here's the orcas video.(NZ Herald)
